Splosion-MAN esplodes on Wednesday
In an effort to continue preaching our gospel of game noise we bring you yet another string of positive audio reviews for our most recently released project "Splosion Man". I've said it to the boys at Twisted Pixel and I'll say again, this might simply be one of the most fun games we've ever worked on.
Chainsaw headed this one up proving that our model of remote implementation is not only possible but a sure fire way to make a games audio shine. From dynamic music integration, to all things splodable this was a hand crafted experience.

"The game hits all the right tones when it comes to music and audio, though.
The soundtrack fits the levels perfectly, and the various sound effects mesh extremely well with
the background music. The music meshes well with the humor as well.
Any time you have 'Splosion Man pick up a donut-loving scientist,
the game will begin humming a cheerful catchy tune about how much everyone loves donuts.
The 'Splosion Man character is hilarious, with his barely coherent random mumblings and quips."

Ghostbusters Reviews are in We've been busy as usual but I'm taking time out this Sunday to share some reviews that we've received for Ghostbusters Wii. This is a great victory because quite honestly we gambled pretty hard on this one.

Now to give you an idea of how hard we gambled we ended up switching to WWise with about six months before our first submission.

AudioKinetics WWise provided an AMAZING array of flexibility and power that we didn't have in the previous sound engine. Jimi, Jason, Kidko and myself put a ton of hours in to this project ensuring that our gamble paid off.

While the road was a bumpy one (incredibly bumpy at times) we created 90% of the sound assets, implemented and scripted them into INFERNAL, and created a dynamic music system within WWise (oh yeah and Jimi did 20 minutes of cut-scenes).

Chris Rickwood provided us with custom music for the Wii to work with our dynamic music system and combined with the great stuff from the Next Gen Game (by Kyle Richards) and the original score we had a solid audio package.

The support of the team at Red Fly was incredible and somehow we ended up with something we're pretty happy with.

From the sounds of the proton packs to the sounds of the ghoulies, the audio to this game is absolutely magnificent.
The voice acting by the original cast members also creates an experience Ghostbusters fans will enjoy

Having the voices of the four Ghostbusters is invaluable. Toss in the soundtrack from the film and the sound effects, and I'm sold.

The one aspect of the game that really pulls it all together is the incredible voice acting and sound work.

BLAST

Gl33k, who so successfully created the music in Mushroom Men along with Les Claypool, return to help with Ghostbusters, and even without the metronome-based tunes, the sounds and music do much to add to the experience. It’s not quite survival horror fare, but it fits the mood and helps immerse you in the experience of chasing down ghosts through abandoned buildings, cemetaries and haunted hotels. The pace picks up when you start to wrangle ghosts, which serves to build tension and keep you in the moment. It’s all very effective, and a welcome addition.
